Lotto
Numbers drawn on Monday 17th of September 2024 were 5,23,24,27. The jackpot was 20,000 . There was no jackpot winner. €20 draw winners:Mairead and Clara Crean, Sean Murphy, Pat O’Neill, Geraldine O’Regan, Michael Geary. Next week’s jackpot is €20,000. Lotto tickets are on sale from promoters and online. Online tickets are available from the Club Force app (Shamrocks GAA club Waterford) to play the lotto. Also if you play the lotto on clubforce, it is worth checking that your ticket has not expired. There is also a link to the club force app on Shamrocks website. Your support is greatly appreciated. With the jackpot now €20,000 a reminder if you’re not in, you can’t win.
Junior Football Championship
West Junior A Football Championship, Shamrocks 3-12 Stradbally 0-6.
Shamrocks Junior footballers had a good win over Stradbally in the second round of the Western championship last Sunday in Colligan. Despite being short of the services of four players who lined out last week, Shamrocks started very brightly and early points from Eoghan Lenehan, Liam Motherway, Edward Lonergan and Ciarán Lenehan gave us a very positive start. It got even better then when Tom Dalton and Padraig Hynes crashed home 2 goals followed by another point from Liam to propel us into a 2-6 to nil lead by the 20 th minute. Stradbally found their scoring boots with 2 points before Edward fired over the last point of the half, 2-7 to 0-2 at the break.

Shamrocks continued to dominate in the second half with points from Billy Hynes, Edward and another goal and point from Tom Dalton effectively killed off the game. Stradbally finished the game with the last 2 points but there was no way back for them. Final score Shamrocks 3-12, Stradbally 0-6.
