Intermediate Hurling.
Next Sunday 1st September is D day for our Intermediate hurlers as we take on Ballysaggart in the Western Hurling quarter final in Lismore at 1.30pm. With 2 games won and 2 lost in the group stages, there was some good performances and some poor ones, albeit we were missing a few players in our last two games. Unfortunately we still have a few absentees due to injury in the squad. We don’t have a great record in recent years against Ballysaggart, but the lads have been going well in training and will be raring to go on Sunday. Please come along and give them some support. Lismore this Sunday at 1.30pm, go on the Shamrocks!

Premier skin the Cats.
Undoubtedly Richie Hogan’s red card had a bearing on the result, but I do think Tipperary had too much firepower for the Cats in Croke Park last Sunday. Tipp’s Liam Sheedy has a proven track record where All Irelands are concerned, so it wasn’t a surprise to see him get the best out of the players. As for Kilkenny, as long as Brian Cody stays in charge they will be contenders.
