Club Notes: 30th September 2019

Shamrocks GAA Club Notes (Kindly sponsored by Allen Engineering & Agri Sales Ltd).

Club Lotto.
Last Monday’s winning lotto numbers were 11-15-18-28, and there was no winner. €20 winners were Liam Casey, Helen O’ Donovan, Dan Casey, Mark Geary, and Tom O’ Donovan. Next week’s jackpot will be €2,100.

JFC Western semi final.
Next Saturday our footballers will face a formidable task when they play Ballyduff in the Junior Football Western semi final in Cappoquin at 4.30pm. Our lads have been preparing well under the guidance of coach Noel Crowley, and apart from Cathal Herlihy, Bernie Kelleher and Colm Roche who has just undergone surgery for an ACL injury we should have a full squad to choose from. Ballyduff, who were in Intermediate ranks just two seasons ago will be difficult opponents, and we will have to be at our best to overcome them. A bit of support would be appreciated by the team, so come along to Cappoquin next Saturday.

EGM.
The club will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting next Friday 4th of October in the KGK Hall starting at 8.30pm sharp. All members are requested to attend.

Congratulations.
The club would like to send it’s congratulations to Junior Hurling selector and club stalwart Martin O’ Keeffe who tied the knot with the lovely Ann last Friday. May you both have a long and happy life together.

Deise Draw.
Congratulations also to committee member Mary Tobin who won €150 in the last Deise Draw. If anyone still owes money please contact secretary Ann O’ Keeffe.

Tommy Kelly RIP.
Shamrocks would like to sympathise with the family and friends of Tom Kelly, Kinsalebeg and formerly of Coolbeggan, who passed away recently. Tom donned the Shamrock colours as a juvenile before he moved away, and he was uncle to Alan and John A. Kelly, Adam, Rachel, Kieran and Jack Crawford. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
