U-16 Football div. 2 co.final, Cois Bhride 2-13, Clan na Gael 2-9.
A massive congratulations go out to our Cois Bhride U-16 team who followed up their minor football county title with a Div. 2 county final win last Sunday over a gritty Clan na Gael in Bushy Park. Though conditions were windy and wet at times, both teams kept the crowd entertained with some excellent play, and the sides were level at half time.  Cois Bhride however proved too strong after the break, and in the end won it by 3 points. Well done to all involved including selectors Liam Dalton, Mossie Spillane, Kieran Ahearne, Denis Martin, Dan Casey and Sean Gleason.

Conor O’ Keeffe was awarded the man of the match award to complete a good day for Cois Bhride. Congratulations to all!   ( Photo shows the winning Cois Bhride team.)
Unlucky St. Mary’s.
Comisserations to Touraneena’s St. Mary’s who were narrowly beaten in the Munster Junior Hurling Club Final last Sunday in Fraher Field by Russell Rovers. Despite having three clubs contesting the Senior, Intermediate, and Junior hurling finals this year, Waterford came away with no title from any of them. A disappointing end to a fairly disappointing year overall on the GAA front. Things can only get better…we hope!
